About the role

Seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN to join our specialised acute neuroscience team. This role provides advanced nursing care to patients experiencing complex neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury and seizures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute neuroscience patients in a high-acuity setting
  • Perform frequent neurological assessments and recognise subtle changes in patient condition
  • Manage patients with conditions such as ischemic and haemorrhagic stroke, intracranial haemorrhage, epilepsy and neurological conditions
  • Administer and titrate critical medications including thrombolytics, antiepileptics, and sedation
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team
  • Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, and recovery processes
  • Participate in stroke alerts, rapid response events, and emergency interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policy

 

What we’re looking for

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) with APHRA
  • Sound assessment, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience
  • Ability to work in a multifunctional collaborative team
