About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified person to work within the Medical Workforce Recruitment team. Be part of a dynamic team Recruiting and Onboarding Junior Medical Officers to Barwon Health. This role forms an integral part of the team providing leadership, advice and support to the wider Medical Workforce Team.

The role is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring services are appropriately delivered pertaining to the recruitment, appointment, onboarding and contracts/variations/cessations of Junior Medical Staff employed at Barwon Health
  • Provide recruitment information and appointments advice to Junior Medical Staff with consideration of the Doctors in Training Enterprise Agreement
  • Support the Medical Workforce Unit in general by being responsible for developing & managing the Barwon Doctors Intranet and Microsite for both Junior and Senior Staff.

 

Key Responsibilities

  •  Provide sound technical advice and support to Barwon Healthmanagers and employees regarding best practice recruitment techniques and organisational tools, policies and procedures
  •  Complete AHPRA requirements and Process the Registration of International Medical Graduates (IMG’s).
  •  Work closely with Medical Workforce Team and Workforce Remuneration team to ensure all processes relating to employment are efficient and effective
  •  Advise and recommend employment sponsorship pathways to skilled migrants across Barwon Health for both internal and external stakeholders  
  •  Be apart of building the reputation of the Medical Workforce team by delivering seamless and effective human resources/recruitment services that are agile and capable of meeting changing business requirements. 

 

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in staffing recruitment and appointment process principles 
  • Demonstrated high level understanding of the Doctors in Training Enterprise Agreement and as well including AHPRA registration compliance requirements 
  • Ability to liaise and work in a calm, clear and concise manner with Medical Staff and respond to related enquiries in a timely manner 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use initiative, discretion and judgement
