About the role
The role of Reception and Administration Support is to provide an effective and efficient reception/administrative service across Barwon Health sites and contribute to the overall performance of Barwon Health to ensure high quality customer service. A focus of this role is ensuring that the administration functions support the patient journey core principles of access and patient centred care with a high standard of quality
Key Responsibilities
- Model and uphold the values and expected behaviours of Barwon Health.
- Provide a customer-focused service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations within the assigned area.
- Support administrative workflows including documentation, medical record management, and accurate billing.
- Assist with reception and administrative tasks and projects as required.
- Maintain strict privacy, confidentiality, information security, and a respectful, non-discriminatory workplace.
What we’re looking for
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transport.
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with a professional, courteous approach.
- Demonstrated experience in a busy reception or administrative role within a confidential environment.
- High level computer literacy, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel), internet use, and electronic information systems/databases.
- Strong organisational, literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Community Health
Barwon Health has five major community health centres, Corio, Belmont, Newcomb, Torquay and Anglesea which provide a range of services to the Barwon region. Services provided by the Community Health Centres include podiatry, physiotherapy, psychology, social work, nutrition, speech pathology, community health nursing and occupational therapy. Barwon Health Community Nursing is a HACC funded service and also provides care for clients requiring Hospital in the Home, Post-Acute and Palliative care.
