About the role
The Grade 3 Radiation Therapist demonstrates advanced clinical expertise in the simulation, planning and treatment of consumers accessing radiotherapy services. This role contributes significantly to patient care through advanced technical skills, clinical leadership and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, you will also play a key role in supporting daily operations, mentoring staff and contributing to ongoing service improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge to deliver high-quality, safe and effective radiotherapy treatment
- Support senior Radiation Therapists and unit managers with daily operational requirements
- Deputise for the Grade 4 Radiation Therapist as required, managing designated work areas
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and support to junior staff and students
- Contribute to clinical projects, service development and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Radiation Therapist with current AHPRA registration
- Eligibility for a Radiation Use Licence in Victoria
- Demonstrated experience in simulation, planning and treatment
- Advanced technical skills in radiotherapy (e.g. VMAT, SABR, IGRT)
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a team in a clinical setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
