About the role
Barwon Health is seeking a highly experienced and committed Psychology Educator (Grade 5) to lead the clinical education and professional development of our psychology workforce. In this pivotal role, you will oversee student placements, supervision programs, and registrar training for psychologists across Allied Health and Mental Health, Drug & Addiction Services (MHDAS). You’ll drive the ongoing growth and evaluation of our education programs, collaborate with universities and professional networks, and form an integral part of the Psychology leadership team
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Psychology Education Team
- Coordinate student placements, supervision, and registrar programs across Allied Health and MHDAS
- Develop, implement, and evaluate contemporary education initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Foster interprofessional education and collaboration with other Allied Health disciplines and their respective educators
- Provide clinical supervision to Grade 4 Psychologists and support reflective practice
What we are looking for:
- Masters or Doctoral qualification in Psychology, with AHPRA registration and AoPE in Clinical Psychology
- Board Approved Supervisor status, with more than ten years’ clinical leadership experience
- Proven track record in education, teaching, and professional development for psychologists
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally safe practice and ongoing professional growth
