About the role 

 

The Project Delivery Support Officer provides project coordination, stakeholder engagement and administrative support to the Barwon Women’s & Children’s (BWC) Project team during the construction completion, commissioning, defect management and handover phases of the project.

Working under the direction of the BWC Project Lead, the role acts as a key interface between clinical services, operational stakeholders, the project team, contractors, consultants and the Operational Commissioning Team. The position supports project delivery through coordination of stakeholder engagement activities, project communications, risk and issue tracking, defect management processes, project reporting, furniture, fittings and equipment (FFE) activities and commissioning support functions.

The role contributes to the successful delivery of project outcomes by ensuring stakeholder requirements, project risks, defects, actions and dependencies are effectively communicated, monitored and coordinated throughout the final stages of project delivery and transition.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Build and maintain effective relationships across Barwon Health and act as a key liaison between clinical services, operational stakeholders, contractors, consultants and project teams to support successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate project activities including meetings, reporting, documentation, action tracking, stakeholder communications, and maintain project governance processes, registers and reporting requirements.
  • Support commissioning, testing, inspections, handover, project close-out activities and collaborate with the Operational Commissioning Team to ensure a smooth transition into operational services.
  • Support project scheduling, milestone tracking, risk and issue management, defect management, and coordinate Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FFE) activities to ensure timely project delivery.

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Relevant qualification in Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health, Health Administration, Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration or a related discipline, with experience in healthcare, project coordination, operational management or project delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders across clinical, operational and project environments.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, meetings, actions and project activities.
  • Excellent written communication, reporting and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
