About the role 

The Project Manager will work under the direction of the Director, Single Assessment Service - Vic West, to successfully plan, establish and deliver the DH Lead Provider contract requirements for the VIC 3 Service Area as specified by DH. The role will work closely with Aged Care Assessment Service Managers and teams across Barwon Health, Bendigo Health and Grampians Health on systems and processes related to people and culture, communications, legal, information technology, finance and business intelligence.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Develop and implement a detailed work plan to ensure all deliverables under the DH contract are achieved within required timelines, including governance frameworks, model of care, and operational systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, lead engagement activities, and provide regular progress reports to key forums (e.g. Transition and Establishment Working Group).
  • Support workforce planning and recruitment, establish subcontracts, and implement key systems and processes (e.g. performance reporting, risk management, complaints, and data governance).
  • Analyse data to inform change strategies, identify and escalate risks, and ensure sustainable, best-practice systems, policies, and processes are embedded.

  

What we’re looking for 

  • Tertiary qualification in health, health management, health policy and planning, business, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Proven experience in leading or supporting projects and managing change within complex environments.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community and consumers.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively, alongside a sound understanding of Aged Care Assessment and recent reforms.
