About the role
The Barwon South Western Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS) is a partnership between 19 member services who collaborate to achieve optimal and equitable cancer outcomes for the community resident in the Barwon South Western Region, consistent with the Victorian Cancer Plan. Barwon Health is the auspice agency for BSWRICS.
The BSWRICS Program Director leads the delivery of the annual work program agreed with the BSWRICS Governance Committee and Department of Health requirements, and collaborates with other integrated cancer services across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities’
- Lead and manage the Barwon South Western Regional Integrated Cancer Service (BSWRICS)
- Build and sustain partnerships between health services, clinicians, researchers, and consumers
- Drive regional planning, quality improvement, and workforce development in cancer care
- Oversee alignment with Victoria’s Cancer Plan 2024–2028 and Department of Health funding and policy requirements
- Promote system-wide engagement in cancer research and evidence-based practice
- Monitor, report, and evaluate regional cancer service performance and outcomes
