About the role
The role of Professional Interpreter, Karenni is to provide on-site, telephone and video interpreting services across all Barwon Health sites as required. To undertake interpreter booking functions. Work in inpatient and outpatient services to support patients and families make informed decisions regarding their health and wellbeing. To maintain professionalism, confidentiality while always staying culturally sensitive
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting across Barwon Health sites while monitoring interpreter bookings
- Ensure all work is accurate, timely, and compliant with Barwon Health policies and procedures
- Identify improvement opportunities and escalate enquiries or issues when required
What we’re looking for

Maintain accurate documentation and support auditing to meet legal and organisational standards

Comply with information security and information management requirements and report any breaches

Ensure patient information is accurate and released in accordance with Health Records Act requirements
