  • McKellar Centre, Geelong
  • Permanent part time (32 hours per week)
  • 3 days Community Rehabilitation (Neurology Stream)+1 day Spasticity Management Clinic


Barwon Health is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Grade 3 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team. If you’re passionate about neurological rehabilitation and spasticity management, and ready to take the lead in clinical innovation, this is the role for you.

About the facility 

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. 

Barwon Health’s McKellar Precinct is located only minutes from the centre of Geelong. It is situated on a vibrant community asset with parkland surrounds. The Community Rehabilitation centre offers a purpose built gym, access to specialist rehabilitation equipment and customised clinical treatment spaces that enable people to make a dynamic recovery and can be provided in the centre, in a client's home or in the local community. Onsite Hydrotherapy is also available to people as part of their physiotherapy program with the Community Rehabilitation team. 

 

 

About the Role

This is your opportunity to bring advanced clinical skills and leadership to a specialised area of care.

As a Senior Grade 3 Physiotherapist, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-informed physiotherapy to adults with acquired or progressive neurological conditions – including stroke, brain tumour, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. You’ll work closely with patients and the interdisciplinary team to support their recovery through goal-driven, time-limited rehabilitation.

In the Spasticity Management Clinic, you’ll contribute your expertise to the assessment, treatment, and ongoing management of spasticity, helping patients improve comfort, mobility, and quality of life.

You’ll also:

  • Provide clinical leadership and education to support staff and students
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver patient-centred care
