About the role

We are seeking a Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join the Palliative Care Program at Barwon Health.

You will provide compassionate, person-centred physiotherapy care to people living with a life-limiting illness, supporting comfort, mobility, symptom management, and quality of life. The role delivers services across inpatient and community palliative care settings and works closely within a multidisciplinary team

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and review in palliative care
  • Manage an independent clinical caseload across inpatient and community settings
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service improvement activities

 

What we’re looking for

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist and eligibility for Grade 2 classification
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and other health service providers, conflict resolution, influencing others, and facilitating open discussions.
  • Ability to work independently, consult and collaborate with others to deliver outcomes in an inclusive and culturally safe way
