About the role

Join the Osteoarthritis Prehabilitation Program as a Grade 2 Physiotherapist and be part of a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting people across the Barwon region living with osteoarthritis. The program provides integrated assessment, intervention, education and support to help consumers make healthy lifestyle changes and potentially prevent or delay the need for joint replacement.

You’ll provide evidence-based, consumer-centred physiotherapy care while contributing to group-based patient education and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. This role also provides opportunities to support the development of junior staff and students and contribute to service improvement and innovative models of care.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based, consumer-centred physiotherapy assessment and intervention for people living with osteoarthritis
  • Provide engaging group-based education and support consumers to make positive changes to their health and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated assessment, care planning, treatment and review
  • Provide supervision, education and support to less experienced staff and undergraduate students

 

What we’re looking for

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist with clinical experience appropriate to a Grade 2 role
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care in a consumer-centred environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate consumers in both individual and group settings
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement, with experience or an interest in osteoarthritis management, student supervision or service development highly regarded
