About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Barwon Health. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work in both Aquatic Physiotherapy and Inpatient Rehabilitation, providing evidence-based, patient-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting.
Aquatic Physiotherapy (0.6 FTE)
- Deliver individual and group hydrotherapy sessions in our modern, purpose-built facility at the McKellar Centre.
- Manage patients with a broad range of conditions, working alongside a Senior Aquatic Physiotherapist, Allied Health Assistants, and Admin staff.
Inpatient Rehabilitation (0.4 FTE)
- Work across various clinical streams, supporting inpatients to maximise physical independence.
- Collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team to provide holistic rehabilitation care.
- This role includes weekend shifts as part of a rotating roster.
About You
- Experience in aquatic physiotherapy and/or inpatient rehabilitation (or a strong desire to develop skills in these areas).
- Passion for patient-centred, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Leadership and teaching skills to support Rotational Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants, and Students.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
