About the role

Are you a Pharmacy student looking to gain valuable experience in a hospital pharmacy setting?

Join our dedicated and innovative Pharmacy team at University Hospital Geelong and gain practical experience in a supportive teaching hospital environment. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding opportunity to develop your skills while supporting the delivery of safe and timely pharmacy services. 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Support the dispensary team to provide safe and timely medication supply
  • Assist with outpatient, discharge and inpatient medication orders
  • Respond to pharmacy enquiries from patients and Barwon Health staff
  • Assist with medication distribution, stock management and routine pharmacy duties
  • Complete all work accurately and in accordance with Barwon Health policies and procedures

 

About you

  • Currently studying a Bachelor or Masters Pharmacy degree at a recognised university
  • Effective and courteous communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Self-directed learning ability
