  • Join a dedicated and innovative pharmacy team to lead, coordinate and provide pharmacy services to young people at Cherry Creek
  • Senior mental health clinical pharmacist role providing expert knowledge in complex cases and driving quality use of medicines across the health service
  • This position is a temporary part-time role (72 hours per fortnight), job share arrangements considered (Parental leave)

 

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy services at the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct alongside a Senior Clinical Pharmacist (Mental Health) role.

This is a unique leadership role where you will oversee medication management, deliver clinical pharmacy services, and drive service improvement within a custodial health setting and acute mental health.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coordinate pharmacy services within the Youth Justice Precinct
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to Mental Health Services, to resolve medication related issues, undertake medication reconciliation, optimise medicines management, provide medicines information, and medication education and assist with discharge planning
  • Ensure safe, effective and cost-efficient medication use
  • Develop and implement procedures, SOPs and service improvements
  • Liaise with internal teams and external pharmacy providers
  • Support multidisciplinary care across custodial and mental health settings

 

What we’re looking for

  • Registered Pharmacist with AHPRA
  • Proven clinical pharmacy experience (hospital experience highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate pharmacy services
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to medication safety, quality use of medicines and continuous improvement
