About the facility 

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

Barwon Health’s McKellar Centre offers a range of rehabilitation services that enable people to make a dynamic recovery. It is situated on a vibrant community asset with parkland surrounds and incorporates state-of-the-art equipment. Adzen is a high level secure unit at McKellar Centre that provides residential care for older people suffering from Dementia and is conveniently located in North Geelong. As well as anaesthesia services, the department also manages the acute and chronic pain services, and the peri-operative unit, including cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPX) for pre-operative assessment of patients.

 

About the role

The primary purpose of this role is to undertake a combination of cleaning, food & beverage delivery, patient and non-patient related transportation and support across the facility; in accordance with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. The effective and efficient cleaning of the facility; including public, staff, inpatient and clinical areas; together with the operation of waste disposal and recycling systems; ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff in accordance with the Victorian Healthcare Cleaning Standards.
