About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. Our service is committed to continual learning and has a strong research culture, collaborating with Deakin University and a member of the Western Alliance. Clinician Scientist Pathways and seeding grants are available for clinicians.

 

About the role

This position participates in the provision of dental care to eligible patients in accordance with their identified needs. The position may be based at any of the Barwon Health dental clinics located at the Belmont, Barwon Health North, Newcomb Community Health Centres or regional clinics (on rotation). As part of an inter-disciplinary dental team with a focus on population health, the position is responsible for the delivery of high quality and cost effective dental services.

 

This position also operates within a multi-disciplinary environment incorporating a range of shared team processes and interventions that recognize the breadth of client and community health needs beyond that of primary presentations, along with the need to engage with and become “Partners for Health” with individuals and communities to achieve an improvement in the health of the population
