About the role

Join the Optima Systems Team as an Optima Rostering Support Officer (Stabilisation) and play a key role in supporting the ongoing success of Barwon Health’s rostering, time and attendance and LOOP mobile application platforms.

In this frontline support role, you will provide day-to-day assistance to staff and managers, resolve ServiceNow tickets, deliver training to key stakeholder groups and support the migration of remaining staff cohorts onto Optima. As Optima transitions from project implementation into business-as-usual operations, you will help embed sustainable processes and provide timely, practical support to users across the organisation.

Reporting to the Rostering System Analyst, you will work collaboratively with the Integration & Reporting Analyst and broader Optima Systems Team to troubleshoot issues, identify integration concerns and ensure users receive accurate and responsive support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong rostering systems experience, problem-solving skills and a passion for supporting people to get the most from technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Optima go-lives and stabilisation, assisting with roster builds, configuration, issue resolution and migration of remaining staff cohorts
  • Deliver training and go-live readiness, developing tailored resources and providing Optima and LOOP training, refreshers and troubleshooting support
  • Manage ServiceNow support requests, triaging and resolving rostering and LOOP queries, identifying recurring issues and escalating systemic matters appropriately
  • Support system integration and stakeholders, monitoring Optima–PayGlobal and LOOP interfaces, assisting with reconciliation and testing, and maintaining strong relationships and support documentation

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in system or application support, with experience supporting system implementations, rollouts or go-lives, including post-go-live support
  • Strong training and communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging training and explain system processes clearly to diverse, non-technical audiences
  • Excellent customer service and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, high volumes of support requests and changing demands while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with service management and business systems, including ServiceNow and Microsoft 365; experience with rostering, time and attendance, payroll integrations or Optima is highly desirable

Please note Barwon Health will only contact you via our official email and never use unconventional means, such as text messaging or other services.

  • A vibrant staff wellbeing program and access to our 24/7 Employee Assistance Program

  • Extensive professional development opportunities

  • Attractive salary packaging benefits

    • Living expenses capped at $9,010
