About the role
The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist in the Falls and Balance Clinic provides evidence-based, client-centred assessment and management for people experiencing falls, dizziness, or balance concerns. Working within a specialist multidisciplinary outpatient setting at Belmont Community Rehabilitation Centre, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive assessments, identifying risk factors, and supporting improved functional outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy assessments focused on functional performance, falls risk, and environmental factors
- Develop and implement evidence-based management plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Independently manage a clinical caseload while contributing to coordinated, patient-centred care
- Support supervision and development of junior staff and students
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development, and clinical governance activities
What we’re looking for
- Registered Occupational Therapist with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated experience in clinical assessment and management within a relevant setting
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and quality improvement
