About the facility 

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

  

About the role

 We are seeking applications for a passionate, experienced Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to 

  • Optimize older people's independence and reduce burden of care within the context of residential aged care facilities.
  • Provide high quality occupational therapy and complex discharge planning services across 3 Barwon Health Residential Aged Care facilities, including the 32-bed transitional care program (TCP-R) at Alan David Lodge with another Grade 2 OT and allied health assistants
  • Supervise junior staff and students. 
  • This role includes a 1:4 Saturday service requirement linked with the acute hospital with associated benefits including penalty rate pay and an extra week of annual leave for working >10 weekend shifts pa.
