About the role
This position is open to suitably qualified Basic Physician or Radiology Trainees.
Key responsibilities
- Perform and report the full range of Nuclear Medicine (including Positron Emission Tomography – PET) examinations offered by and performed at the Geelong Hospital under specialist supervision.
- Attend and, if rostered, present at Multidisciplinary Clinico-pathological Meetings (MDM) and imaging meetings as rostered.
- Participating in after-hours on call radiology services if RANZCR candidate.
- Participating in quality assurance and research activities as per JSAC requirements.
- Attendance at training courses where appropriate or required.
- Basic on-site training in Nuclear Medicine technology and radiation safety.
- Undergoing certain training or administrative activities as required for all Barwon Health / Medical Imaging employees in information technology, occupational health and safety.
What we’re looking for
- Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Pass grade in the Part 1 FRACP examination if a physician candidate.
- Pass grade in the Part II FRANZCR examination and completion of appropriate RANZCR training as stipulated by JSAC.
