About the role
This role offers an opportunity to join the Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Service (MHDAS) as part of the Postgraduate Mental Health Nursing Program. Designed to build specialist capability, the role includes rotations across a range of inpatient and community settings within the Geelong and Barwon South West region.
You will be supported through a structured learning environment that includes individual and group supervision, dedicated Clinical Nurse Educators and access to the MHDAS education and professional development program. This role is ideal for nurses looking to develop confidence and clinical capability in a recovery-oriented, multidisciplinary mental health setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, recovery-oriented mental health care including assessment, risk-informed care planning, and therapeutic interventions within a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in structured learning, supervision, and education programs to build clinical capability across a range of mental health settings
- Maintain high-quality clinical documentation and contribute to team-based care, including handovers, reviews, and engagement with consumers, families, and carers
