Manager Work Health & Safety (Grade 6), People and Culture

Key responsibilities 

• Lead the organisation’s WHS function, driving strategy, culture, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.
• Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, and implementation of key prevention programs to minimise workplace risks.
• Monitor WHS data, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide insights and reporting to support informed decision-making.
• Develop WHS capability across the organisation through coaching, mentoring, and strong stakeholder collaboration.

What we’re looking for 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in WHS leadership roles within large and complex organisation(s) 
• Tertiary qualification, Bachelor minimum, in Occupational Health and Safety / Risk Management or related discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian OHS legislation, regulatory frameworks
• Experience implementing and managing WHS management systems and organisational risk management frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence organisational safety culture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into risk mitigation strategies.
