About the role

In this pivotal leadership position, you will provide professional and strategic leadership to ensure the effective and equitable delivery of services to consumers accessing our Outreach/ MHARS service. You will champion best practices in contemporary, evidence-based treatments and lead the development and implementation of a recovery-oriented service model.

As a key leader within our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of our services with the Barwon Health Strategic Plan, National Mental Health Standards, and legislative directions, all while maintaining compliance with Barwon Health’s policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, aligning services with Barwon Health’s strategic priorities and national mental health standards.
  • Supervise and support direct reports in their professional development and performance, ensuring staff have the necessary skills to carry out their roles effectively.
  • Manage program budgets efficiently, ensuring alignment with proposed financial targets.

 

What we’re looking for

You are an experienced leader with:

  • Proven leadership skills in a mental health or related healthcare environment, with a focus on service delivery and clinical management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire teams, stakeholders, and consumers.
  • A proactive approach to managing performance, addressing complaints, and ensuring continuous improvement within mental health services.
  • A collaborative approach to leadership, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
