About the role
The Manager, Nutrition & Dietetics provides strategic, professional and operational leadership to deliver a contemporary, safe and high-quality Nutrition and Dietetics service at Barwon Health.
Reporting to the Director of Allied Health, you will lead a large, multidisciplinary service with responsibility for professional governance of all Dietitians employed by Barwon Health, and the workforce management and service performance across approximately 24 FTE. As a senior Allied Health leader, you will contribute to organisational leadership, represent the Dietetics and Allied Health on key committees, and drive innovation, quality improvement, research and workforce sustainability to support optimal patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic, professional and operational leadership for Nutrition & Dietetics services
- Lead clinical governance, quality, safety and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Manage workforce planning, performance, development and succession for Grade 3 and 4 Dietitians
- Develop and manage budgets, business plans and service performance reporting
- Drive service development, innovation, research and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong internal and external partnerships to support service delivery, education and workforce sustainability
What we’re looking for
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body
- Significant senior leadership experience within Nutrition & Dietetics or a complex health service
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical governance, service planning and operational management
- Proven experience in workforce leadership, financial management and performance management
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and change leadership capability
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant clinical or business discipline (or working towards)
