About the Role

The HMO3 Critical Care stream pathway offers many training experiences, suitable to your specific needs.

The year planner can include ICU, Anaesthetics, Hamilton Hospital Emergency Department, Emergency at University Hospital Geelong (UHG), Cardiology and a Annual Leave and cover term.

If you are interested in the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) please identify this preference when answering the key selection criteria.

The Critical Care Year plus the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC) will be offered by the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM). The Emergency Medicine Certificate Training Program provides doctors working in Emergency Departments (EDs) with adequate knowledge and sufficient clinical experience to be safe and efficient practitioners. The EMC is a six-month competency-based training program conducted in an Emergency Setting under the supervision of an approved EMC Supervisor. The position offered includes three months at UHG ED under direct supervision of a FACEM and three months at the Hamilton Base hospital.
