About the Role
As a casual Unaccredited General Surgery Registrar, you will support the General Surgery unit across clinical activities including ward coverage, Operating Theatre lists, outpatient clinics and endoscopy sessions, as required.
You will assist in the assessment and management of surgical patients, respond to urgent clinical needs, and contribute to safe, timely care delivery. Working closely with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you will help ensure high standards of documentation, communication and patient-centred care are maintained.
This role is ideal for doctors seeking to step into General Surgery at a flexible, casual level—providing an entry point to build experience, develop clinical skills, and gain insight into surgical training pathways. It offers the opportunity to contribute to team function while enhancing readiness for future structured training positions, including SET.
If you are motivated, adaptable and eager to expand your surgical experience in a high-quality healthcare environment, this casual role provides an excellent foundation.
