About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

About the role

The Financial Reporting Lead is responsible for the the accurate and timely financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the Financial Control team you will be supported in a vibrant, positive and friendly working environment that actively encourages intiatives and new ideas. 

 

The role will be reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager and with the following primary responsibilities:

  • Production of accurate month end and year-end results within set timelines.
  • Delivery of internal and external reporting, including preparation of the Annual Financial Report.
  • Timely and accurate submission of government related reporting (such as monthly PFR, ATO BAS, FBT return, etc.).
  • Engagement of key personnel within the organisation on the external audit (VAGO) and subsequent actions as required.
  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of financial activities, including bank approvals.
  • Financial system maintenance (Oracle FMIS, PowerBudget, etc.).
  • Active engagement and support to stakeholders throughout the organisation for financial information.
  • Adhering to, maintaining and updating financial accounting policies where needed.
