About the role

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the Finance Business Partner works in partnership with Operational Managers to ensure sound financial management, accurate budgeting/planning, forecasting, interpretation of financial results, and the delivery of high quality reporting.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, delivering accurate analysis, insights and performance reporting to support organisational decision-making.
  • Partner with operational leaders as a trusted finance advisor, providing financial modelling, business case analysis and strategic recommendations to optimise resource utilisation and financial outcomes.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities, and driving proactive solutions to improve operational and financial results.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making, fostering a commercially focused culture through collaboration, coaching and continuous process improvement

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Commerce, with CA/CPA membership (or working towards accreditation).
  • Strong financial management and analytical expertise, including budgeting, financial modelling, management accounting, reporting, and interpretation of complex financial data.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders, building effective relationships, communicating financial insights, and managing competing priorities.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving and change management capability, with experience driving financial improvements and ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
