About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
Heath Wing 7, is a 32 bed General Medical unit specialising in Respiratory Medicine and RAPU is a 16 bed short stay medical unit; both wards are seeking a qualified EEN (Diploma Level 2-5) to be part of their highly skilled, professional and friendly team. In this role you will be responsible for the provision of high quality patient care through a multidisciplinary approach.
About the role
As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care within an acute care setting. Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of care to support the best possible outcomes for patients. You will be accountable for your own practice while providing delegated nursing care within your scope. Building strong therapeutic relationships with patients is central to your role, alongside contributing to a supportive and team-focused environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 12 months’ experience in acute nursing, particularly in general medical settings. You will demonstrate sound clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. Flexibility with rostering and a positive, enthusiastic approach are essential.
