About the role
As an Educational and Developmental Clinical Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive developmental and diagnostic assessments for preschool-aged children experiencing developmental, behavioural, educational, social or environmental challenges. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will use evidence-based assessment tools, clinical observation and consultation with families to support diagnostic formulation. You will provide recommendations and high-quality reports to guide intervention, educational planning and access to appropriate supports.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and model evidence-based, multidisciplinary assessment, care planning, treatment and review, while contributing to clinical policies and service initiatives.
- Independently manage a clinical caseload, integrate complex information from multiple sources, evaluate outcomes and deliver high-quality consumer-centred care.
- Build effective relationships across the multidisciplinary team and support the development of junior staff and students through supervision, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to research, quality improvement and innovation while maintaining professional, ethical and legal standards, ongoing CPD and evidence-based practice.
What we’re looking for
- Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with an Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and ability to work independently, with the knowledge and skills to support the professional development of others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively in an inclusive and culturally safe environment.
- Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development, with proficiency in information technology systems and evidence-based practice.
