About the role
Barwon Health is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Clinical Psychiatric Nurse to provide specialist nursing leadership within our Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Service.
In this pivotal role, you will deliver expert clinical care to both inpatients and outpatients undergoing ECT, working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary medical and nursing team. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, ethical and evidence-based delivery of ECT, while meeting all legal, clinical and documentation requirements in line with statutory and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical psychiatric nursing leadership as part of the team providing Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) to clients of Barwon Health.
- Deliver the full range of nursing interventions consequent to the safe and competent provision of ECT to both in-patients and out-patients of Barwon Health Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services.
- Be responsible for the supervision and direction of other psychiatric nursing personnel together with ensuring that all legal and clinical documentation requirements are met
