About the role
The Director Infrastructure will provide technical leadership to the SWARH region. This role will plan, organise and manage infrastructure staff, contractors and/or consultants to ensure the stable and secure operation of IT infrastructure. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, telecommunications and cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead the implementation of enterprise infrastructure strategies across storage, compute, networks, M365 and cloud services, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and future technology needs.
- Provide strategic leadership and governance for infrastructure services, including architecture, service models, operational frameworks, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead infrastructure service delivery and performance management, ensuring highly available, secure and resilient technology environments, including disaster recovery, capacity planning and incident management.
- Manage technology partnerships, budgets and teams, driving vendor performance, financial accountability, innovation and the delivery of high-quality outcomes for stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
- Experience or tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology.
- Strong leadership experience in IT infrastructure/services frameworks for a complex organisation and network.
- Significant experience in a high-availability multi-site enterprise environment, including application hosting, storage and compute, and voice and data networks
- Knowledge of infrastructure best practice.
- In-depth knowledge of IT and operational and service management processes.
- A highly analytical mind-set with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in team management.
- Ability to prepare business cases and financial justifications and asset lifecycle plans.
