About the facility

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

About the role

Director Barwon Local Health Service Network (LHSN)

The Barwon LHSN is a collaboration between Barwon Health, Colac Area Health, Hesse Rural Health and Great Ocean Road Health, focused on supporting member agencies to deliver safe, quality and sustainable services. Initiatives include both State priorities and locally based work, overseen by representative committees of working groups reporting to the Barwon LHSN Chief Executive Officer Committee.

 

The Director promotes and achieves health service collaboration by facilitating the four health services to work together on strategic system-wide service priorities. The Director coordinates and supports the Barwon LHSN 3-year strategic plan and annual plans, which are agreed and defined by the CEO Committee and underpinned by the Statement of Expectations.

 

This role requires a strategic leader who understands how to work effectively in the Victorian public health system, collaborate across multiple stakeholders and deliver on the vision for the new Local Health Service Networks.
