About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Grade 3 Dietitian to join Barwon Health’s Nutrition and Dietetics Department. This exciting role provides specialist paediatric dietetic services to children requiring support following acute hospital discharge, including Hospital in the Home (HITH) and outpatient care.

Working as a senior clinician, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutrition care, provide leadership and supervision to junior staff and students, and contribute to service development, quality improvement, and research initiatives. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for children and families across the Barwon region.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced paediatric dietetic assessment, intervention and care planning across outpatient and post-acute services.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to Grade 1 and 2 Dietitians, Allied Health Assistants and students.
  • Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service development and research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, patients and families to deliver consumer-centred care and achieve optimal health outcomes.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status, or eligibility for APD status with Dietitians Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced clinical expertise in paediatric dietetics.
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor and support the development of students and junior clinicians.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder
