About the role

To deliver high-quality and appropriate dental care within Dental Services at the Procedural Hub, University Hospital Geelong, Barwon Health.

Applicants must hold RACDS and be eligible for registration in Victoria. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong clinical skills and knowledge, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A high level of commitment to providing quality patient care is essential.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred clinical care, ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, evidence-based treatment and are actively involved in decisions about their care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external healthcare providers to coordinate care, provide clinical advice, and achieve the best outcomes for patients.
  • Maintain excellence in clinical governance and quality improvement by supporting clinical audits, incident reporting, accurate documentation, and compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation standards, and organisational policies.
  • Promote a safe and professional workplace by adhering to occupational health and safety requirements, participating in mandatory training, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and Barwon Health values.

  

What we’re looking for 

  • Formally recognised tertiary qualifications in Dentistry, current registration with AHPRA as a Dentist, and a current Operator Licence to use Irradiating Apparatus in accordance with the Health (Radiation Safety) Regulations.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of contemporary dental practice, with the ability to deliver evidence-based care appropriate to the target population.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, build collaborative relationships, and respond appropriately to diverse situations and people.
  • Strong adaptability, flexibility, and professional judgement, with the ability to respond to changing clinical environments while maintaining high standards of patient care.
