The Barwon Health Eating Disorder Day Program (EDDP) is a group-based treatment program for people diagnosed with an eating disorder who require more intensive therapy and support. The EDDP will offer a holistic approach with a multidisciplinary team that includes group therapy, individual support, supervised meals, and family/carer involvement.
The vision of EDDP is to foster steps towards recovery through a combination of therapeutic interventions, nutritional guidance, and group support, all within a safe, compassionate environment. Through personalised treatment plans and a collaborative approach, the program aims to empower individuals to reengage meaningfully in their lives and build sustainable recovery. The program will set out to provide support to people across the lifespan.
A core part of this role is to work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team which will include a psychiatrist, medical, mental health clinicians, dietician, occupational therapist, lived experience workforce, and exercise physiologist. This team will be viewed as an extension of the existing Eating Disorder Service, and work alongside the manager and administration team.
