About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join Barwon Health's Surgical & Critical Care Division. You will provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient plastic and reconstructive surgical services to public and private patients while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to medical education, clinical research and continuous quality improvement.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality inpatient and outpatient plastic and reconstructive surgical care.
  • Participate in the Plastic Surgery after-hours roster and multidisciplinary clinical care.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to teaching, clinical research, audit and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

 

What we're looking for

  • Basic medical degree with eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), or currently on the pathway to obtaining FRACS.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred surgical care.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
