About the role

The Barwon Health Clinical Trials Unit is seeking a qualified Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator to coordinate and deliver clinical trials across Endocrinology and Infectious Diseases.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the coordination and conduct of clinical trials, while working collaboratively with the research team to support participants and achieve successful trial outcomes.

You’ll combine your clinical nursing expertise with your research skills to provide high-quality participant care, support trial activities and ensure studies are conducted in line with approved protocols and research requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct clinical trials across Endocrinology and Infectious Diseases
• Support participant recruitment, screening, enrolment and retention
• Provide compassionate, respectful and culturally sensitive participant care
• Provide participants with clear, accurate and timely trial information
• Build strong relationships with participants, families and research teams
• Conduct clinical assessments and protocol-specific procedures as required
• Support research governance, monitoring, safety reporting and trial documentation
• Work collaboratively with the wider team while managing responsibilities autonomously

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration
• Previous clinical trial experience
• Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
• Strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy and cannulation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills and confidence using relevant IT systems
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
