About the role
We are seeking a Clinical and/or Health Psychologist to join our Pain Management Unit. In this role, you will work autonomously and as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients. You will provide psychological assessments and evidence-based treatments to outpatients, including individual and group interventions such as Pain Education and CBT-Insomnia programs.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide evidence-based treatments for patients with chronic pain and associated conditions.
- Deliver individual and group programs, including pain management, education, and CBT-Insomnia.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, liaise with team members, and contribute to coordinated patient care.
- Contribute to service planning, quality assurance activities, and ongoing professional development within the Pain Management Unit.
- Provide supervision and support to student/provisional psychologists where appropriate.
What we’re looking for
- Master of Clinical and/or Health Psychology (or equivalent) with endorsement by the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Full registration as a Psychologist with demonstrated competence in psychological assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, PTSD, and personality disorders.
- Experience in hospital or outpatient settings, including group and individual therapy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute positively to service development.
- Strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and commitment to Barwon Health values.
