About the role

As the Grade 1/2 Radiation Therapist you will demonstrate sound clinical expertise in the treatment and planning of consumers of radiotherapy services with demonstrated skills in provision of quality assurance and independence.

 

Duties of your role include, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrated to adapt and prepare for changes/ challenges
  • Demonstrated advanced technical expertise which significantly benefits consumer care
  • Demonstrated skills to support and mentor Interns and students as required.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • A strong commitment to patient- focused care, willingness to change and ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Demonstrate more complex radiation therapy planning and treatment technical expertise (e.g. VMAT, SABR, IGRT) which significantly benefits consumer care.
  • Demonstrate skills in the provision of clinical supervision and mentoring in professional learning.
  • Demonstrate ability to assist the senior team with daily functions in maintaining high- quality patient care in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrate a full understanding of internal policies and practise within the safety and quality scope. 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Qualified RT with current registration from AHPRA 
  • Eligible for Radiation Users Licence with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Experience in Simulation, Planning and Treatment and learners’ supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
