About the role

The Business Support and Systems Manager plays a key role in delivering operational and systems support to the Medical Workforce Unit. This position is responsible for identifying, reviewing, and implementing process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency, while overseeing financial engagements with external health services. The role also leads the management of key systems and project initiatives, ensuring effective reporting and insights to support organisational objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage financial partnerships with public and private hospitals, including oversight of secondment agreements and collaborative workforce programs.
  • Develop and deliver workforce reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support recruitment, operations, and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive the planning and delivery of key Medical Workforce Unit projects, including systems, digital content, and operational initiatives.
  • Oversee business performance frameworks, including KPIs, workforce planning, and unit business planning activities.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across government, internal departments, and clinical teams to support program delivery and funding outcomes.
  • Lead process improvement, systems enhancement, and governance activities, including policies, databases, and organisation-wide project representation
  • Participate in a 7-day a week, after hours, on-call (telephone) roster for junior medical staff issues
