About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
Barwon Audiology provides comprehensive diagnostic hearing care to paediatric and adult patients, and is based at the University Hospital Geelong with satellite clinics at the Belmont Community Rehabilitation Centre, Barwon North and Colac. Services include infant diagnostic electrophysiological assessments, identification and management of auditory disorders in children with special needs, vestibular function assessments, and inpatient audiological bed based care. We work closely with a range of allied health and medical professionals to ensure effective and holistic patient centre care, from the acute hospital environment through to community based settings.
About the role
This position would suit an experienced diagnostic Audiologist with strong paediatric and adult clinical skills, with ability to independently manage a full clinical caseload including routine and more complex audiological assessments. Ability to supervise other clinicians and professional students is required. The successful applicant will have opportunities to further develop their experience in specialist areas such as infant diagnostic testing, vestibular assessment, inpatient audiological care, Ear Nose and Throat specialist support or clinical education.
