About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 1 Audiologist to join Barwon Health’s Audiology team based at University Hospital Geelong. This role offers the chance to work within one of the largest diagnostic audiology services in the state, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care across a diverse range of inpatient and outpatient settings.
You will provide diagnostic audiology services for clients of all ages, working closely with ENT, multidisciplinary teams, and Allied Health Assistants. This role also offers strong support for Audiology Australia clinical internship pathways, making it ideal for both new graduates and early-career audiologists.
You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team of Audiologists working across multiple sites, contributing to service delivery, quality improvement, education and professional development within a leading regional health service.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic audiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Work collaboratively with ENT, Allied Health and multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centred care
- Participate in professional supervision, mentoring, student education and clinical internship support activities
- Contribute to documentation, data collection, quality improvement activities and compliance with NSQHS Standards
What we’re looking for
- Master of Audiological Science or Postgraduate Diploma in Audiology with eligibility for Audiology Australia membership
- Either Accredited Audiologist status or willingness to commence a clinical internship within 2 months of employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- A motivated, adaptable and patient-focused approach with commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice
