About the role
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our aged care team in the role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager as an annual leave reliever. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled registered nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, supporting staff development, and contributing to the operational leadership of an aged care unit. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the ANUM plays a key leadership role in ensuring the provision of safe, effective, and person-centred care to residents in an aged care setting.  There may also be the opportunity to cover the NUM role at times. 
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with best practice standards and AHPRA requirements
  • Providing clinical leadership and operational management during allocated shifts
  • Promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with organisational policies, standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with workforce management, performance development, and service planning
 
 
What we’re looking for
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organisational skills
  • Recent aged care experience, leadership experience is desired
  • Understanding of Aged Care Standards and commitment to person-centred care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • A compassionate, respectful, and professional approach to caring for older people
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and computer literacy skills
