About the Facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Surgical Specialist Clinics to oversee the daily operations of our specialist clinics, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This role involves the daily allocation of nursing staff, providing clinical support and education, and fostering an environment of continuous learning. You will be responsible for developing and publishing nursing rosters, ensuring compliance with relevant leave and EBA timeframes. The role also includes participation in the recruitment process, conducting staff inductions, and performing regular performance appraisals. As a leader, you will promote evidence-based clinical practices, support compliance with audits, and ensure high-quality patient care. The Associate Nurse Unit Manage will also take on the role of Nurse Unit Manager when required, offering a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional.
