About the role
We are seeking an experienced perioperative nurse with advanced Orthopaedic Scrub Scout expertise to join our Main Theatre team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM). In this key leadership role, you will support the coordination of a dedicated nursing team and contribute to the planning and delivery of both elective and trauma orthopaedic surgeries.
Working in a fast-paced and dynamic theatre environment, you will provide clinical leadership, support day-to-day operations, and partner closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care. Key responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and operational support to ensure efficient day-to-day functioning of the theatre
- Coordinate and support the delivery of elective and trauma orthopaedic surgical services
- Promote and deliver consumer-centred care in line with best practice standards and Barwon Health requirements
- Support, mentor and develop nursing staff, fostering a positive and high-performing team culture
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery
What we’re looking for
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and recent Orthopaedic Scrub Scout experience
- Demonstrated leadership capability or experience in a perioperative setting
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively within a busy, multidisciplinary team environment
- Postgraduate qualifications in perioperative nursing and/or management (desirable)
