About the role
We are seeking an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) in IRC - North. In this role you will assist in the leadership, planning and delivery of a high-quality service.
As an ANUM, you will provide clinical leadership and management, assisting the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the operational needs of the unit are met. You'll be responsible for clinical and professional role modelling; guiding staff toward the best possible care standards whilst fostering continuous improvement within the unit. Additionally, you will support and encourage the professional development of nursing staff to ensure ongoing growth and excellence in clinical practice.
 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, timely, and consumer-centred care
  • Support day-to-day shift coordination, staffing, and patient flow within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre
  • Act as a clinical role model, providing supervision, guidance, and support to nursing staff
  • Contribute to service improvement, staff development, and maintenance of clinical standards

 

 What we’re looking for
  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and relevant postgraduate qualification
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within an acute or rehabilitation setting
  • Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills

Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre (IRC) has 100 beds, across three wards and involves rehabilitation service programs for a wide range of conditions, including:
  • Stroke and other neuro rehabilitation
  • Amputee
  • Trauma – multi-trauma, orthopaedic, brain injury and spinal (excluding early spinal cord injury)
  • Ortho Geriatric
This position will be based in IRC North which is focused on stroke and other neuro rehabilitation
