We are excited to announce a new opportunity at University Hopsital Geelong for a motivated and efficeint Registered Nurse to join our Operating Services Management team as a Assosiate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) for the Anaesthetic and PACU in the main theatre complex.

About the facility 

Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

 

University Geelong has 10 operating rooms in the main operating suite, that supports a total of 16,000 operations a year across a number of surgical specialties.

 

About the role

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for:

-Demostrating excellent clinical, leadership and management skills

-Actively participating in the development of new ideas and comminting to continous improvement in our services.

-Collaborating effectivly withthe team to ensure high standards of care

-Managing the flow of patients through the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit.

-Providing support and guidance to Anaesthetic and PACU nurses

 

Position requires:

-Strong leadership and managment abilities

-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

-Proven clinical expertise in anaesthetics and PACU nursing

-Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced enviroment
