About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, Staff Hub and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.
Subacute at Home is an inpatient bed substitution model that supports people complex medical and rehabilitation needs. The team's office is based at the Staff Hub but the position requires driving throughout the Greater Geelong area.
About the role
To provide high quality care as an Allied Health Assistant to patients within the Subacute at Home Program including GEM and Rehabilitation at Home. Perform clinical work of a general nature as directed by, and under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional. To provide teaching, supervision and development of less experienced Allied Health Assistants and student Allied Health Assistants. Undertake a range of non-clinical duties that support the provision of Allied Health services within the Subacute at Home Program.
